Is your work aligning to your goals? This is an important question that I believe we have to ask ourselves this year as we approach the third quarter. 2016 brought an onslaught of infopreneurship. But the reality is, we have been in an information age for quite some time. We went from agricultural to industrial to informational. But it was like the last two years, bloggers figured that out and went HAM-burgular. And it was great in a lot of ways, but I think that it left a lot of people confused about what their goals actually were.
We are all telling a story about ourselves online. The question is, how in control are you over your story? We get caught up in branding, ignoring the fact that a brand is truly just a story attached to a particular product or company. In this case, as the writer, you are the brand. What story are you telling?
This one here is for all my personal bloggers. I know, I know everyone is telling you, you need a niche and you’re thinking, “But I’m a personal blogger,” and I am here to tell you that it still matters! Most people don’t want to feel like they are being pushed into only talking about one topic but I assure you that when your blog tries to cater to everything and everyone, it essentially caters to no one.
