First | Ep. 7, S2 - The First Move

It’s everything for a man to feel supported and it’s just refreshing to see Jahmela Biggs put into visual form all the intricacies that a relationship really entails.

I love Charlie’s intensity. Every time they capture his glance, it’s as if he sees straight through Robin to her soul each time. And that connection, to be able to connect from soul to soul and heart to heart is something that’s not easy to fabricate. Can they really be dating please? I know I am not the only one thinking it!

Either way, the chemistry as always is amazing and just something so special to watch. These last few episodes have been about to have me crying a river. In this episode, we see Charlie and Robin take the big step of moving in together, but simultaneously Charlie’s position at the center is lost.

That feeling when your man is experiencing hardship and all you want to do is make it better! Ahhh! It’s soooo hard. But I love how Robin surprised him with the plans on starting a non-profit and decorating the house with his farewells. It’s everything for a man to feel supported and it’s just refreshing to see Jahmela Biggs put into visual form all the intricacies that a relationship really entails.

I think this episode is also important because it shows that relationships are NOT EASY! I repeat, not easy. I actually just recently watched a discussion from Around the Way Curls on “What’s Love Got to Do With it?” This is the perfect depiction. As much as we want to be with men that have it all in order, life happens, and you have to be ready to stick it out when it’s good and when it’s not so good. Life throws curveballs so it is quite possible that this perfect man you have been courting will face something extremely life changing.

So many of us think that if we had a man like this or that, our lives would be better, but are we the women that they need? I love how gentle Robin’s spirit appears in the show. Not badgering, not asking “What are you doing wrong in the interviews, Charlie?” But simply being there, being his rock, his shoulder, his stability in a time of uncertainty. But anyway I digress.

I almost had a heart attack when the show skipped 7 months later and put us into Charlie’s daydream about Robin being pregnant. I thought to myself, “Really, we’re there already?” lol. But nonetheless, it was all Charlie’s moment of realization that this is probably the woman that he wants to spend his life with.

All is well and peachy and then the bomb gets dropped. But I will actually let you watch that for yourself!

Next Episode is June 17th and it’s the season finale!!! What will we do during the next break???
